WORSHIP IMPROVEMENT PROJECT

WHY NOW?

Our 20th anniversary is a time to remember God's blessings and consider how we will care for the parish entrusted to us. The first year in our permanent church home is an important milestone within that longer story. Now we have the opportunity to strengthen this home for worship, ministry, fellowship, and the generations who will follow us.

The Worship Improvement Project and continued mortgage reduction mark the next chapter in our parish’s story. Through thoughtful long-term planning, we can prepare for future needs and share responsibility for this work over time.

HOW WE WILL TURN THE PAGE

There is a place for everyone in the Rise Up and Build Capital Campaign through the Worship Improvement Project and our continued efforts to reduce the mortgage. Parishioners may make a leadership gift toward our capital priorities, help fund new pews through the recognition program, or contribute online at a level that is meaningful and manageable for their family.

Each pew offers four recognition opportunities at $4,000 or $5,000 each, depending on its size, or $16,000 or $20,000 for a full pew. We will share the final pew layout, project costs, recognition details, and installation schedule as they are confirmed. Recognition honors a donor’s generosity and does not reserve seating. Every pew remains open to all who gather for worship.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why launch the campaign now?
Our 20th anniversary is an opportunity to thank God for the life of Holy Apostles and prepare faithfully for the years ahead. Just over one year into our permanent church home, we are focusing on improvements that will strengthen our worship space and the parish’s long-term financial foundation.
How will progress be reported?
Updates will distinguish funds received, outstanding pledges, and project decisions. Each financial update should carry an as-of date. The committee recommends monthly updates and additional notices after significant decisions.

Does pew recognition reserve seating or confer ownership?
No. Recognition commemorates a gift to the parish and does not reserve a particular seat or convey ownership of the pew. All pews remain parish property and are available to everyone who comes to worship.
How can I participate?
Parishioners can participate through a leadership gift toward the parish’s broader capital priorities, support the Worship Improvement Project through pew recognition, or make a contribution of any amount online. You may also request a conversation with a member of the Future Planning Committee to discuss the option that is right for you.
Does a capital campaign gift replace my regular stewardship?
No. Regular stewardship supports the ongoing ministries, programs, and operations of Holy Apostles. Capital campaign gifts are intended to be above and beyond annual stewardship and support specific long-term needs and improvements.
Are altar furnishings and iconography immediate projects?
They remain part of our longer-term planning. Pews and continued mortgage reduction are the immediate campaign priorities.
